‘BREATHE EASY’ CAMPAIGN BREATHED

LIFE INTO ILL BABIES

Corporate partners came together to put their stamp of approval on the Breathe Easy Campaign organized by The Rotary Club of East Nassau benefitting the Princess Margaret Hospital’s Pediatric Unit.

Earmarked for high risk, premature, low birth-weight, or critically ill newborns, the Breathe Easy nationwide fundraising campaign provided to the Princess Margaret Hospital’s neonatal Care Unit incubators and ventilators as a means to control air temperature, oxygen concentrations, relative humidity and support to breathing until the infant's respiratory efforts are sufficient.

Organized by Doctors Hospital, the Tribune Media Group, the Princess Margaret Hospital, Tile King, and the Rotary Club of East Nassau, the campaign successfully reached its intended goal of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00).  Using the funds that were allocated, six ventilators and two incubators have been purchased for the Princess Margaret Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
